Reports to: Director of Youth Education

Employment Type: Full-Time (10 months, August-June)

Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000

 

About Sinai Learning Lab:

Sinai Learning Lab is an innovative Jewish micro-school dedicated to providing Kindergarten through 2nd grade students with a personalized, multi-age educational experience. Rooted in the principles of expressive learning, skill mastery, and challenge-based inquiry, the Learning Lab is dedicated to cultivating curiosity, connection and courage.

 

Role Overview:

The Lead Teachers in Sinai Learning Lab will be instrumental in bringing our innovative vision to life. This role involves crafting and leading a personalized, multi-age educational experience rooted in expressive learning, skill mastery, and challenge-based inquiry. The Lead Teachers will develop and deliver dynamic, personalized, student-centered learning that sparks curiosity, nurtures critical thinking, and encourages collaboration. With a strong commitment to Jewish values and traditions, the ideal candidate will create a supportive and inspiring environment where each child’s unique potential is recognized and celebrated.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design and facilitate problem-based learning experiences that engage students in real-world challenges and promote critical thinking and creativity.

  • Classroom Leadership: Lead a multi-age classroom environment that supports individual growth, skill mastery, and collaborative problem-solving.

  • Jewish Education Integration: Infuse Jewish values, holidays, and traditions into daily learning experiences in meaningful and innovative ways.

  • Student Assessment: Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress and tailor instruction to meet individual and group needs.

  • Family Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, communicating regularly about student progress, classroom activities, and program updates.

  • Collaboration: Partner with other educators and staff to create a cohesive, enriched learning experience that reflects the Sinai Learning Lab’s vision.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and reflective practices to remain at the forefront of educational and Jewish learning methodologies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong belief in our mission and vision of cultivating curious, connected and courageous learners.

  • Passion for innovative education and a commitment to fostering problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Jewish Studies, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a multi-age learning environment.

  • Strong understanding of child development and personalized learning.

  • Experience with various educational models including Montessori, Reggio and Acton.

  • Experience integrating Jewish values and traditions into an educational curriculum.

  • Proficiency with technological tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
